Aludec employs around 1,300 people and expects to achieve sales of approximately €160 million in 2025. The company operates ten manufacturing plants across four countries: Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and the United States. Founded in 1984, Aludec specializes in decorative components for the automotive sector, producing both plastic and metal parts for vehicle interiors and exteriors as a full-service supplier.
Jesús María Herrera, CEO of CIE Automotive, said: “The integration of Aludec means, in the context of our diversification strategy, the creation of a new aesthetic components (branding) division. This transaction strengthens our position as a reference supplier for customers, as we can offer this new line of decorative products globally. In addition to its excellent strategic and commercial positioning, Aludec has excellent profitability, a solid financial position and, above all, a very high level of cash generation, in line with that of CIE Automotive.”
Vicente Villamarín, president of Aludec, S.A., expressed his “satisfaction at integrating the company into a global group, which undoubtedly ensures growth within the sector and allows the legacy of my father, founder of the company in 1984, to continue.”
The acquisition supports CIE Automotive's ongoing diversification efforts by establishing a dedicated division focused on aesthetic and decorative automotive components. This move enhances the company's ability to provide comprehensive solutions to global vehicle manufacturers, covering both functional and design-oriented parts.
Aludec's strong profitability, healthy balance sheet, and high cash generation align closely with CIE Automotive's financial standards. The addition of Aludec's customer relationships, technical expertise, and manufacturing footprint will expand CIE Automotive's global presence in the decorative segment.
This transaction reflects CIE Automotive's strategy to broaden its product portfolio while maintaining disciplined financial management. By incorporating Aludec, the company strengthens its competitive position in the automotive supply chain, where aesthetic components play an important role in vehicle differentiation and customer satisfaction.
The integration is expected to create synergies in product development, manufacturing capabilities, and market reach. It positions CIE Automotive to better serve original equipment manufacturers worldwide with a wider range of interior and exterior decorative solutions.
Overall, the acquisition contributes to CIE Automotive's long-term growth objectives in the global automotive industry, supporting its role as a leading Tier 1 supplier.
