Specifically, the battery intelligence platform under Australian mining giant Fortescue completed the acquisition of analytics service provider Zitara, aiming to enhance its data analysis capabilities in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) field. Meanwhile, UK energy company Drax Group agreed to acquire optimization service provider Flexitricity for a transaction value of £42 million (approximately $57.38 million). This transaction values Flexitricity's enterprise at £36 million, with the remaining £6 million covering estimated net working capital and cash adjustments. The seller in this deal is global investment management firm Quinbrook. Both acquired companies provide software-based services to multiple industries, including battery energy storage, and their transactions reflect the industry trend of integrating specialized software capabilities to improve operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
