The latest report released by IoT analytics firm Berg Insight indicates that the private network market is steadily growing. According to the report's data, by the end of 2025, global private LTE/5G network deployments will reach 6,500, with a market value of approximately $2.4 billion. Among these, Nokia has contributed over 1,000 private network deployments, becoming a key player in this field.
Berg Insight forecasts that by 2030, the total market value of private network systems will climb to $12 billion. Melvin Sorum, IoT analyst at the company, stated in a declaration: "The private cellular network market is in a period of transformation, primarily driven by increased availability of dedicated spectrum, a maturing device ecosystem, and growing enterprise demand for low-latency applications. The market, which was previously largely supply-driven, is now increasingly being driven by the actual needs of end-users."
The report points out that traditional macro base station RAN suppliers such as Huawei, Ericsson, and Nokia hold significant positions in the private network space. Among them, Nokia is identified as the largest supplier of private LTE/5G network systems, having served approximately 960 customers and deployed over 2,000 private networks by the end of 2025.
Furthermore, numerous small cell and other vendors also offer competitive LTE/5G radio products and complete solutions, including companies like Airspan Networks, Askey, AW2S, and Baicells. In the area of dedicated core network software (EPC/5GC), key suppliers include AttoCore, Blue Arcus, Cisco, Cumucore, and Druid Software. Overall, RAN and EPC/5GC solutions for private networks are provided by nearly 60 suppliers.
The continued expansion of the private network market reflects the evolution of enterprise communication needs. As technology matures and application scenarios broaden, this field is expected to maintain its growth trajectory, presenting development opportunities for various suppliers.
