Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, Canadian potash developer Karnalyte Resources Inc. stated that the deepening cooperation between Canada and India in the fields of mining exploration and potash will drive the growth in demand for Canadian potash and promote the long-term development of the industry. Company CEO Danielle Favreau commented on this: "The renewed focus by both countries in this area is a positive development for the industry and for bilateral trade. We are encouraged by the government's recognition of Canadian potash and the value the industry creates for international trade."

Karnalyte recently submitted an updated feasibility study report for its Wynyard potash project, confirming that the project has an estimated mine life of 70 years and favorable economic benefits. The project aims to meet the sustained demand for potash in the Indian and North American markets, benefiting from a strategic offtake agreement reached with Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GSFC) of India. As Karnalyte's largest shareholder, GSFC is one of India's leading fertilizer companies. The cooperation between the two parties ensures a stable supply to the Indian market and demonstrates Karnalyte's role in supporting global food security.

Karnalyte is currently in the development stage. Its Wynyard project is planned to be constructed in three phases. The first phase will have an annual capacity of 675,000 tonnes of high-grade granular potash. The subsequent two phases will each add 750,000 tonnes of annual capacity, bringing the total final capacity to 2.175 million tonnes per year. All environmental permits for the project remain valid, preliminary engineering design has been completed, and the existing offtake agreement with GSFC continues. Further progress will depend on the trend of potash market prices and the ability to secure the necessary funding.
