MAIRE Secures Sustainable Technology Contracts Worth Approximately €50 Million in Germany, Canada, and Other Countries
en.Wedoany.com Reported - MAIRE's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) business unit has signed new contracts totaling approximately €50 million, with projects spanning Asia, Europe, and North America, covering urea technology, proprietary equipment, engineering design, and plastic upgrading and recycling.
In Asia, Stamicarbon, the nitrogen fertilizer technology licensing subsidiary of Nextchem, will provide technology licensing, a process design package (PDP), and proprietary equipment for a new urea plant with a daily capacity of approximately 3,500 metric tons per day (MTPD).
The plant will adopt Stamicarbon's proprietary Ultra-Low Energy (ULE) design, which is part of the NX STAMI urea technology portfolio. Compared with conventional urea processes, this technology is designed to reduce steam consumption and operating costs, while enhancing equipment reliability, extending asset life, and supporting safe and stable operations through advanced process features and proprietary materials.
In Germany, Stamicarbon has signed a proprietary equipment contract with SKW Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz GmbH, one of Europe's largest integrated ammonia and urea production sites. Under the contract, Stamicarbon will supply three high-pressure urea strippers based on NX STAMI™ urea technology. These units are designed to deliver significant process improvements, including debottlenecking, reduced high-pressure steam consumption, and enhanced reliability of the liquid distribution system.
In Canada, Stamicarbon has secured a process design package contract for a new urea plant with a daily capacity of approximately 1,150 short tons per day (STPD), which will adopt the LAUNCH MELT conventional total recycle technology. Stamicarbon will deliver the process design package during the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase to advance the project to the final investment and construction decision stage.
Nextchem is also expanding its plastics circularity business, having been awarded a feasibility study by a Turkish integrated waste management and renewable energy company for the construction of a mechanical plastic upgrading and recycling plant in Turkey with an annual capacity of 40,000 tons. The plant will utilize Nextchem's proprietary NX Replast technology to process mixed polyolefin waste, including polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and convert the purified plastic streams into high-value compounded recycled polymers.

This new batch of contracts highlights MAIRE's expanding international footprint in sustainable industrial technologies and adds momentum to its portfolio in low-energy fertilizer production and plastics recycling.
