Wedoany.com Report on Feb 9th, In the implementation of the reconstruction project for the Fort Boyard fortifications in Charente-Maritime, the ETPO team, commissioned as part of the consortium with Architecture Patrimoine and BRL Ingénierie, has moved into Dry Dock No. 1 at the Port of Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique. This Fort Boyard reconstruction project marks a key construction phase.

Work on the base slab and breakwater for the mooring harbor began in November. According to the plan, concrete slab pouring will continue until May 2026, after which the construction team will install the necessary floating equipment to complete the structural work. The entire Fort Boyard reconstruction project reflects the integration of historical building preservation with modern engineering technology.
In June of this year, the floating operation will be completed in the Penhoët Basin in Saint-Nazaire, followed by structural towing. Both infrastructure components measure 30 meters by 30 meters, with individual weights ranging between 3,000 and 4,000 tons. The total project investment amounts to 36 million euros (excluding tax). The advancement of the Fort Boyard reconstruction project demonstrates the complexity and technical requirements of large-scale historical building restoration projects.
