Wedoany.com Report on Feb 9th, Engineers India Limited (EIL) has officially commissioned a 60 kilotons per annum (KTA) Polypropylene (PP) plant at the GAIL Pata Petrochemical Complex, marking a significant milestone for the company in the petrochemical sector. This polypropylene project utilizes advanced production processes and aims to meet market demand for high-quality polymers.

With the operation of the polypropylene plant, the facility will begin producing three new polymer grades, including homopolymers, impact copolymers, and random copolymers. These products have broad application prospects in industries such as packaging, automotive, and consumer goods, contributing to the diversification of India's domestic polypropylene supply.
The plant has been commissioned in synchronization with relevant utilities, offsite facilities, and the existing complex's interconnection systems. Furthermore, the project includes the construction of a nitrogen plant and a buried storage tank to support the stable operation and storage requirements of polypropylene production.
This polypropylene project is seen as a key initiative to drive the development of India's petrochemical industry, demonstrating EIL's professional capabilities and commitment in executing national energy infrastructure projects.
