Flint Group recently expanded its UV LED dual-cure flexographic ink series with the launch of EkoCure XS Shrink White ink, aiming to provide a more reliable printing solution for shrink sleeve applications.
This EkoCure XS Shrink White ink features a no-flake characteristic, and its formulation is designed to enhance ink adhesion, helping brands stand out in retail environments.
The ink is optimized to form a strong and smooth white base layer, maintaining structural integrity even in high-shrinkage or high-stress areas of the sleeve, thereby avoiding issues like flaking or cracking. The dual-cure technology allows converters to use EkoCure XS Shrink White ink flexibly on both UV and UV LED curing equipment, simplifying workflows and improving efficiency. For optimal performance, Flint Group recommends keeping the total ink film thickness below 15 bcm during printing.

In addition to improving print quality, EkoCure XS Shrink White ink offers practical benefits for converters, such as reducing the need for ink stripping during tape or crease tests, thereby saving time and minimizing waste. Using both the first and second layers of UV shrink white ink helps optimize overall shrinkage performance, opacity, and coefficient of friction.
This solution supports long-duration, high-speed runs, maintaining consistent adhesion and reducing print defects, while also working seamlessly with other ink products from Flint Group.
