RAD has recently launched the ETX-2i-400G, a 400G Ethernet demarcation and aggregation device specifically designed for Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and high-capacity enterprise connectivity. This product is part of the ETX series of Ethernet edge platforms, aiming to meet Communication Service Providers' (CSPs) demand for high-capacity, low-latency, and Service Level Agreement (SLA)-based business services, providing crucial support for capacity enhancement in AI-era network infrastructure.
The ETX-2i-400G is equipped with multiple 400G QSFP-DD interfaces, supporting scalable data center interconnect deployments and enabling the delivery of ultra-high-speed bandwidth services to customers. Addressing the massive data transfer demands across data centers driven by AI training, the device prioritizes data security as a core design consideration while ensuring transmission efficiency. Its encryption-agile framework integrates Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), helping CSPs build future-proof data security defenses to counter potential threats from emerging technologies like quantum computing.
Eli Angel, Vice President of Products and Marketing at RAD, stated: "Training AI models requires the fast and efficient transfer of massive data volumes between data centers to ensure expensive GPU resources are fully utilized. Our new solution enables the economical, secure, and efficient transport of large data flows between data centers and aligns well with Mplify's AI-certified Carrier Ethernet program, validating AI-ready infrastructure."
The ETX-2i-400G is scheduled for a live demonstration at booth 5E61 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from March 2 to 5, 2026. The launch of this product signifies RAD's continued commitment to the AI-driven network infrastructure domain, offering more reliable solutions for next-generation data center interconnect by combining high-bandwidth transport with forward-looking data security technologies.
