Honor recently announced that it will officially launch its first consumer-grade humanoid robot at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2026) in Barcelona on March 1, 2026. This launch marks Honor as the first Chinese smartphone manufacturer to enter the humanoid robot field, further expanding the boundaries of its AI technology applications.
According to Honor, this humanoid robot is expected to cover multiple scenarios such as retail guidance and home services, capable of performing diverse tasks like product delivery and home companionship. It aims to provide users with a more convenient intelligent living experience through AI-driven perception and interaction capabilities. This cross-industry move demonstrates that Honor's technological accumulation in integrating on-device AI with physical entities is accelerating towards productization.
At the same launch event, Honor will also showcase an innovative device named ROBOT PHONE. This product features a hidden mechanical arm, combining AI imaging technology with physical motion capabilities to automatically optimize composition and track subjects, offering users a more intelligent photography experience. This design continues Honor's technological path in the AI imaging field while, for the first time, embedding mechanical execution capabilities into a smartphone form factor.
Honor's concentrated showcase of two innovative products—the AI robot and the robot phone—reflects its systematic exploration in the fields of artificial intelligence, on-device computing, and physical interaction integration. As the consumer-grade humanoid robot track gradually heats up, Honor's entry will add a new highlight to global tech exhibitions and inject new variables into the competitive landscape for Chinese manufacturers in the field of AI hardware integration.
