Wedoany.com Report on Feb 25th, The Yujiahe Aqueduct project on the Shulu Main Canal in Anhui's Pi-Shi-Hang Irrigation District, constructed by Water An Construction Company, recently successfully passed the unit project and contract project acceptance, marking the official commencement of operation for this livelihood project. This aqueduct is the single largest and most technically complex livelihood project in terms of investment scale within the irrigation district's "14th Five-Year Plan" continuation, supporting facilities, and modernization transformation.

The newly built aqueduct has a total length of 460 meters, consisting of 18 spans, with a designed flow rate of 46.5 cubic meters per second. The project employs a C30 cast-in-place reinforced concrete thin-walled rectangular channel combined with a prestressed T-beam and continuous box girder support system. The foundation utilizes drilled rock-socketed piles, achieving a unity of architectural aesthetics and engineering safety under complex geological conditions. Full-process quality control was implemented during the project's construction, resulting in the acquisition of 2 provincial construction methods, 1 national invention patent, and 4 quality management achievement awards, ensuring the quality of this livelihood project meets standards.
The new aqueduct stands parallel to the old aqueduct built in 1968, with a center-to-center distance of 17.5 meters. The cultural stone made from rock cores of the inlet pile foundation, the hexagonal observation pavilion, and the ginkgo ecological area combine engineering data with humanistic symbolism. The stone stele is 900 cm long, symbolizing the total length of the new and old aqueducts; its height of 70 cm corresponds to the net width of the channel body; and the pier width of 1968 cm commemorates the construction year of the old aqueduct. Upon operation, this livelihood project will provide security for farmland irrigation, urban and rural drinking water safety, and ecological protection in Shucheng and Lujiang counties, benefiting nearly a million residents along its route and effectively realizing the social benefits of a livelihood project.
