Built in response to a long-standing demand from local residents, the road is considered a significant infrastructure project for the area, designed to address both surface drainage and pedestrian access. Salman Ali Sagar, MLA for the Hazratbal constituency, attended the inauguration ceremony. Following the ceremony, Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar held a public hearing to listen to residents' issues, grievances, and demands, and took up several matters with relevant departments on the spot, reflecting the priority placed on delivering essential public services.

Sagar emphasized that providing basic and essential services, strengthening infrastructure development, and improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens remain the top priorities of the National Conference government. Officials noted that over the past nearly two years, development activities in the Khanyar constituency have made considerable progress, with municipal infrastructure projects such as roads, lanes and bylanes, parks, community centers, and streetlights having been undertaken.
