Instrument Principle

Under the action of the suction pump, sample air deposits the particles separated by the cutter onto the sampling filter membrane. After the oscillating balance weighs the mass increment, the base mass concentration is calculated together with the sample gas volume during that period.

For the oscillating balance particulate matter monitor equipped with volatile compensation device, in the next period the sample gas first passes through a constant-temperature zero-gas filter, then through the sampling filter membrane. The mass concentration during this period serves as the reference mass concentration. The final concentration is the base mass concentration minus the reference mass concentration.
