A. USAGE Trunnion mounted ball valves are essential components to control the flow of fluids or gases in a pipeline, particularly in high-pressure applications, by utilizing a fixed ball mounted on trunnions which provide stability and allow for tight sealing with minimal operating torque, making them ideal for demanding industrial settings like oil and gas operations, chemical processing, and power generation plants.
B. CHARACTERISTIC
1. Double block and bleed: A "double block and bleed" (DBB) is a valve configuration used to completely isolate a section of a pipeline or system by employing two isolation valves ("blocks") with a bleed valve situated between them, allowing for the safe release of any trapped fluid or gas before maintenance or repairs are performed, thus enhancing safety during operations by preventing pressure build-up and potential leaks.
