A floating crane is a heavy-duty lifting device installed on a floating vessel, combining the efficient operation capability of a portal crane with the mobility advantages of a floating platform. Supported by the floating vessel carrier, it can move freely in waters, adapting to tidal changes, complex hydrological conditions, and environments without fixed docks, making it a core lifting equipment in the field of marine engineering.

1. Slewing bearing design with the same service life as the entire machine

Our slewing bearing processing techniques, along with a relatively generous safety factor, can ensure that the most important mechanical component of a portal crane—the slewing bearing—has the same service life as the entire machine.

2. Low center of gravity design

The design concept of a high boom with a low slewing platform reduces the center of gravity height of the portal crane, improving the stability of the entire machine.

Adopting a parallel lay method reduces wire rope wear, extending service life by more than 20% and reducing replacement costs.

4. Quick spreader switching

The quick-change interface ensures smooth switching among grab, hook, and container spreader within 3-5 minutes.

9. Grab anti-sway system

By modeling the portal slewing system, calculating the grab sway angle, and intelligently controlling the slewing and luffing speeds to eliminate the sway angle, the anti-sway effect is achieved.

10. Automatic operation system

The portal crane memorizes the grabbing and unloading positions and operation paths, and combined with grab anti-sway, positioning, and anti-collision algorithms, achieves automatic operation of the portal grab.

11. Boom anti-collision system

By detecting the luffing, angle, and operating position of the portal crane, and sharing data with adjacent equipment, a portal crane group model is constructed, and intelligent algorithms are used to achieve boom anti-collision protection.

12. Energy feedback system

The electrical energy generated during load lowering or motor deceleration is fed back to the power grid, achieving energy recovery and utilization for the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction.

13. Energy storage system

The electrical energy generated during load lowering or motor deceleration is stored in batteries or supercapacitors and released during the next operation, achieving energy recovery and utilization while reducing the input power of the entire machine.

14. High power factor, low harmonic content

Adopting an intelligent compensation and harmonic elimination system to improve power factor, reduce line losses, and optimize power quality.
