Advantages
CINRAD/SA-D Dual-Polarization Doppler Weather Radar (Meteorological equipment license Model: CINRAD/SA-D) technology is an upgraded version of the USA's NEXRAD (WSR-88D). It utilizes Doppler radar technology to acquire data on target range, orientation, reflectivity, and velocity. The radar monitoring system uses software to control the radar for generating a wide array of meteorological products. Dual-polarization technology represents a significant enhancement to Doppler weather radar, rapidly becoming an indispensable tool. These radars substantially improve the ability of meteorological services to monitor and issue warnings for severe weather, fully meeting operational and service requirements such as short-term nowcasting, quantitative precipitation estimation, identification and analysis of intense weather phenomena, wind field analysis, and shear detection.

Market Shares
Currently, China's Weather Radar Monitoring Network is currently the largest in the world and serves as one of the four core operational systems of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). As the primary supplier and service provider for this monitoring network, Metstar has delivered 132 S-band radars to the CMA, accounting for approximately 92% of all S-band weather radars in the entire network. Additionally, Metstar has supplied one S-band Dual-Polarization weather radar each to Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions.
For international clients, including those in India, Romania, and South Korea, Metstar has installed or has orders for a total of twenty-four (24) systems.
