Wedoany.com Report on Feb 28th, Baleària recently announced the introduction of a new structure in its port operations area, where a team of eight directors will be responsible for the company's daily operational affairs at various ports. This initiative aims to advance its unique port operation model by optimizing the management structure through regional division.
The company expects that this layout divided into eight regions will help improve operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen connections with customers. The new model emphasizes closer and more consistent service quality to enhance overall competitiveness.
At the same time, this structure grants each port greater autonomy while maintaining a unified governance system to coordinate processes, ensure operational consistency, and standardize excellence in operations across the entire network. These directors will serve as direct communication channels between the company and each port community, enhancing the company's presence at various locations and establishing a solid, professional image aligned with corporate values.
The latest addition to this structure is Salvador Morales Garcés, who will be responsible for operations at the Port of Sagunto. He brings 18 years of port operations experience, covering container, ro-ro, and bulk terminals, as well as operational transformation and digitalization projects.
His arrival follows that of José Manuel Gómez, who has over 10 years of experience in domestic and international operations management and logistics supervision, and will lead operations at the Ports of Huelva and Cádiz. In addition to these two new members, the new team of port operations directors primarily consists of professionals with solid track records within the company. On the other hand, this new structure reinforces the operational model that has gradually developed in recent years following the establishment of a global hub in Madrid, further integrating the company's port business network.
