The Port of Motril is preparing for the 2026 cruise season, which is projected to deliver the port's best-ever performance in cruise traffic, further solidifying its position as a strategic destination in the Mediterranean. The season is expected to see 73 cruise ship calls, offering 126,746 passenger berths and capacity for 55,403 crew members. These figures are anticipated to set a new record in the port's 20-year history in the industry.

This growth is partly attributed to 12 additional calls, reflecting the increasing interest from major international shipping companies in the Port of Motril as a destination.

The Norwegian Cruise Line ship "Norwegian Dawn" is scheduled to make 28 calls between April 21 and October 28, 2026, with regular weekly visits starting from April 29, further boosting the port's cruise season activity.
