Wedoany.com Report-Dec 02,Renault Trucks doesn’t get a lot of headlines outside of France, but the company is serious about electric trucking – and its new 2025 MY E-Tech T electric semi truck is packing serious range, too: more than 600 km (about 375 miles) per charge!

Renault claims its trucks have logged nearly 19 million all-electric miles, saving more than 29,000 tonnes (approx. 32,000 tons) of CO₂ emissions over the last five years. Now, with up to 600 km of range per charge (up from 400 km in 2024 model), you can expect that number to climb higher, faster.

Despite being ideally suited for long-haul transport, though, Renault says that ultra long range itself isn’t the ultimate goal. Instead, they’re encouraging their fleet customers to spec out the size of their trucks’ batteries according to their actual needs, and optimize capacity for loads, routes, and charging strategies.

“We’re not looking to enter a race for autonomy on a single charge,” stressed Emmanuel Duperray. “Oversized batteries penalize the payload, raise total operating costs and increase the environmental footprint. In essence, an electric truck is more expensive than a combustion vehicle. We need to rethink low-carbon logistics, in other words, reconsider transport patterns to optimize the use of transport vehicles and therefore reduce the cost per kilometer.”

Duperray believes that We believe that a 600 km range, combined with the development of public charging infrastructure networks through Renault’s joint venture charging project, Milence, will enable the company to achieve “operational parity” with diesel by 2026.
