Wedoany.com Report on Mar 9th, Indorama Corporation, through its indirect subsidiary Indorama Advanced Oxides (Spain) S.L.U., has successfully completed the acquisition of the titanium dioxide (TiO₂) production base and related assets of Venator P&A Spain, S.L. located in Huelva, Spain. This move marks Indorama Corporation's official entry into the titanium dioxide industry, expanding its portfolio of materials businesses.
Venator Spain is a major producer in the titanium dioxide field, operating a production facility in Huelva with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons. Titanium dioxide, the most widely used white pigment globally, is extensively applied in various sectors such as paints, coatings, plastics, paper, and packaging materials.
Commenting on the acquisition, Amit Lohia, Vice Chairman of Indorama Corporation, stated: "This acquisition aligns with our strategy of building a diversified, high-quality portfolio of basic and advanced materials. The Huelva plant brings deep technical expertise, proven manufacturing capabilities, and strong customer relationships.
