European Air Transport has been operating in the Central European region for many years, with seven bases in Slovakia and two in the Czech Republic, providing round-the-clock helicopter emergency medical services. The company has extensive experience in rescue and critical care transport in challenging environments, such as mountainous terrain.
The H135 helicopter is widely used in the emergency medical services sector, renowned for its high safety performance, compact size, and lower noise levels. It is equipped with the Helionix digital avionics suite and a four-axis autopilot, offering a flexible cabin layout for medical missions, suitable for both primary and secondary medical transfers.
The H140 is a new model from Airbus Helicopters, which debuted last year. As a 3-ton-class rotorcraft, it offers improved performance, economy, and comfort in the light twin-engine category. The helicopter is scheduled to enter the emergency medical services market in 2028, complementing the existing product line and suitable for passenger transport, private, and business aviation.
The H140 helicopter incorporates several innovative designs, including an optimized T-tail boom and Fenestron system to reduce noise, and is equipped with a five-blade bearingless main rotor and Safran engines. Its cabin offers more space and features larger windows, accommodating up to six passengers. Rear loading capability supports various stretcher systems, such as intensive care stretchers and transport incubators, facilitating the movement of medical equipment.
