Wedoany.com Report, According to a March 18 report, Indian Shipping Company has signed a contract with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders for a 3,000 deadweight ton methanol dual-fuel platform supply vessel, marking the first methanol-capable vessel in its fleet.

The methanol dual-fuel platform supply vessel is planned to operate on green methanol, as part of the shift towards alternative fuels under India's National Green Hydrogen Mission. The agreement was signed at 13:15 on March 18, with the contract value, delivery schedule, and technical details not yet publicly disclosed.

This order marks Mazagon Dock's entry into commercial projects related to alternative fuels, while the shipyard continues to advance its defense-focused construction program. Company information shows that since 1960, the shipyard has delivered 806 vessels.
