Song Hailiang thanked the Malaysian government and Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd for their long-standing trust and support for CCCC, and briefed them on CCCC's overall situation and the latest construction and operational preparation progress of the ECRL project. He stated that the ECRL project is a flagship project of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Malaysia, an important symbol of deepening practical cooperation between the two countries, and carries the common expectations of the people of both nations. CCCC always adheres to implementing the important consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Malaysia, promoting high-quality construction and high-level operation of the project, and continuously building a landmark project of China-Malaysia infrastructure cooperation. In the future, CCCC will leverage the ECRL project cooperation as a bond, utilize its integrated, comprehensive, and converged system integration advantages in the "Five Full, Four Major, Five Type" fields, participate comprehensively in Malaysia's infrastructure construction, and strengthen in-depth cooperation in areas such as smart services, contributing CCCC's wisdom and strength to realizing Malaysia's "Madani Economy" vision.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Zulkifli bin Zainal Abidin thanked CCCC for its positive contributions to Malaysia's infrastructure construction and the implementation of the ECRL project, and highly commended the project's construction progress, joint operation preparations, and localization cooperation achievements. He stated that the traditional friendship between Malaysia and China continues to deepen, and cooperation in various fields is steadily advancing. The ECRL project is of great significance in promoting connectivity between the east and west coasts of Malaysia and driving economic and social development along the route, making it a livelihood project eagerly anticipated by the people. With the high attention of the leaders of both countries, he looks forward to both sides maintaining a good momentum of cooperation, accelerating the project's completion and operational preparations, and promoting more practical results in China-Malaysia infrastructure cooperation to benefit the people of both nations.

After the meeting, the two sides signed the Term Sheet of the Operation Agreement for the ECRL operating company.
