en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 21st, Equipment solutions provider SkyJacks introduced its latest series of GEDA hoists to the Southern African market this year, capable of lifting materials and workers to heights exceeding 100 meters. The mast-guided hoists utilize a rack and pinion system and are available in two types: pure material units and combination units.

SkyJacks Managing Director Darryn Jacobs stated that pure material units have a load capacity ranging from 200 kg to 500 kg, while combination units can handle up to 2,000 kg or accommodate seven people. He added that using higher-specification GEDA hoist models can carry up to 22 people.

Jacobs cited another GEDA product: the GEDA Boiler Hoist 300 Z, designed for the safe and efficient lifting of heavy boiler components in industrial plants, power stations, and refineries. The GEDA 300 Z can lift materials weighing up to 300 kg to a height of 100 meters at a speed of 30 meters per minute. The hoist is powered by a 2.5 kW, 400V, 50Hz, or 16A motor, depending on the customer's application specifications.

For customers requiring a "robust hoist," the company also offers the GEDA 500Z/ZP. The GEDA 500Z/ZP can carry up to 1,000 kg of material or a maximum of five people and can reach heights exceeding 100 meters. This hoist is powered by various motors, including 3 kW, 6.1 kW, 400V, 50Hz, and 16A options, with lifting speeds of 12 m/min or 24 m/min.

Jacobs explained that all GEDA hoists are equipped with the Core Inspection system, a software solution for monitoring high-value equipment and machinery for service and maintenance. According to Jacobs, the Core Inspection system helps operators ensure structural and mechanical integrity, extend equipment lifespan, enhance lifting safety, optimize construction productivity, and prevent costly failures.

"Heavy lifting is not just about strength; it's about control and safety. GEDA hoists are designed to meet stringent construction safety standards, reducing risks in high-load operations," he added.

SkyJacks provides equipment, training, and after-sales solutions to improve customer safety and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. The company's certified operator training programs, digital compliance and inspection systems, comprehensive maintenance and after-sales support, and commitment to "clean, efficient" equipment and machinery help operators achieve compliance.

"GEDA's proven rack and pinion technology, advanced safety systems, and compact modular design enable stable, precise lifting even in confined spaces. The result: faster maintenance, reduced downtime, and improved worker safety," Jacobs concluded.
