This acquisition marks Indorama's official entry into the titanium dioxide industry, expanding its business scope.
Venator Spain is a significant titanium dioxide producer, with its Huelva facility having an annual capacity of 80,000 tons. Titanium dioxide, a widely used white pigment, is primarily applied in paints, coatings, plastics, paper, and packaging materials. Amit Lohia, Vice Chairman of Indorama Ventures, stated, "This acquisition aligns with our strategy to build a diversified, high-quality portfolio of basic and advanced materials."
The Huelva plant possesses specialized technology, mature production capacity, and a stable customer base. Indorama plans to increase investment in technology and product R&D in the future, deepen collaboration with customers, and achieve sustainable growth leveraging this platform.
