en.Wedoany.com Report, On the afternoon of March 27, witnessed jointly by the Nuclear Power Institute of China, CNNC Maintenance Technology Co., Ltd., and CNNC Liaoning Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., the hydrostatic test for the first steam generator of Unit 2 at Xudapu Nuclear Power Plant was successfully completed. The equipment was designed and procured by the Nuclear Power Institute and manufactured by Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Equipment Co., Ltd.

The steam generator, one of the main nuclear island equipment in a nuclear power plant, serves as the second barrier between the primary and secondary circuits. It is a heat exchange device that transfers the heat generated by the reactor to the secondary-side working medium (water), producing saturated steam to supply the power system. It is often figuratively referred to as the "lungs of nuclear power."

The hydrostatic test serves as a crucial "final exam" for manufacturing quality before equipment leaves the factory. Its success provides a strong guarantee for the first steam generator of Unit 2 at Xudapu Nuclear Power Plant to be delivered to the project site with guaranteed quality and on schedule.
