en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK major housebuilder Bellway has commenced a residential restoration project at a former University of Liverpool student accommodation site, where it will build 143 homes. The Newcastle-based Bellway recently unveiled the first batch of CGI renderings for the residential restoration project.

CGI renderings of the Carnatic Park residential restoration project

The residential restoration project, located off Elmswood Road in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, UK, received planning approval last summer. The site, formerly the University of Liverpool's Carnatic Halls, will feature 65 one- and two-bedroom apartments, along with 78 three-, four-, and five-bedroom houses, set amidst mature trees and landscaped public green spaces.

David Williams, Managing Director of Bellway North West, said: "We have received significant interest in the Carnatic Park project and are delighted to finally unveil the new renderings, which highlight how stunning this prestigious residential restoration project will be upon completion. We have worked hard to ensure that the overall aesthetic of Carnatic Park blends seamlessly with the existing architectural character of the local area, while offering an exceptional range of high-quality new-build homes with a contemporary yet timeless appeal."

The University of Liverpool put the 22-acre Carnatic Halls site up for sale in 2020; the site served as student accommodation from 1964 to 2019. The university's sale of the site was part of its strategy to build more on-campus accommodation and redevelop the Greenbank student village. Existing features to be retained within the residential restoration site include sandstone and brick boundary walls, with the site located at the junction of Elmswood Road, North Mossley Hill Road, and Rose Lane.

Upon completion, the site will be opened to the public, featuring over 12 acres of newly designated open space, as well as walking and cycling paths. The first residents are expected to move into Carnatic Park in spring 2027, with overall completion anticipated by late 2028.
