According to the latest statistical bulletin from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Ministerio de Energía y Minas), cumulative gold production through March stood at 24,752,698 grams of fine gold, a 3.4% decrease from 25,614,670 grams of fine gold in the same period of 2025.

This negative growth was due to a decline in production from Minera Boroo Misquichilca S.A., which produced 1,060,986 grams of fine gold, a drop of 18.5%.

At the mining company level, Minera Yanacocha S.R.L. led gold production with an 18.1% share. Compañía Minera Poderosa S.A. and Minera Aurifera Retamas S.A. ranked second and third with contributions of 7.9% and 4.7%, respectively.
