In October 2025, Gastrade received the first LNG cargo at the FSRU facility near Alexandroupolis since technical issues in January of the same year, with TotalEnergies supplying this batch of US LNG to Bulgargaz under a four-cargo tender. Since the restart of operations, six LNG cargoes have been delivered to this FSRU LNG import terminal, including four cargoes under Bulgargaz's tender. In addition to TotalEnergies, Bulgargaz also selected Greece's Metlen Energy & Metals to supply LNG in December 2025 and January 2025, while Shell was chosen to supply LNG in March.
