en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bindi Metals (ASX: BIM) has encountered extensive sulphide-bearing alteration zones at the Drenjak target during its initial drilling at the Ravni Gold Project in Serbia, providing early geological support for subsequent assay results.

The drilling targeted high-grade surface gold mineralisation at Drenjak and its corresponding induced polarisation anomaly. Drenjak is part of the Ravni Project within the Raska mining district in Serbia. Early diamond drill holes intersected a widespread hydrothermal system across multiple intervals and holes, characterised by silicification, brecciation, quartz veining, and disseminated sulphides. In certain intervals, sulphides increased to semi-massive textures within strongly altered zones. Key recorded intervals include 31m to 37m and 45m to 60m in hole RAV26001, and 31m to 47m and 47m to 68m in hole RAV26003.

Bindi Metals CEO Mark Freeman stated that the company has not yet announced grades, but the early holes encountered geological conditions at the correct location consistent with Drenjak's surface mapping, sampling, and chargeability targets. The current focus is on understanding the geometry and scale of the mineralised system and optimising subsequent drill targets.

Bindi has submitted selected intervals containing visible sulphides and strong alteration to ALS Bor for expedited analysis. Results from the expedited analysis are expected within approximately two to three weeks, with routine analysis results due in about six to eight weeks. These assay results will provide the first test of whether the extensive alteration-sulphide system at Drenjak contains meaningful gold grades. At this stage, visual logging supports the exploration model and helps refine the next phase of drilling.

The larger first-round drilling program targets 2,000 metres of diamond drilling across Drenjak, Drenjak West, Rujak, and Rujak North. Drilling is initially concentrated at Drenjak, with plans for reconnaissance holes along strike to the west, before later moving to the Rujak target.

The Ravni Project is located within the Kopaonik Metallogenic Zone in Serbia, part of the Western Tethyan Belt, which hosts several large gold and polymetallic deposits, including the multi-million-ounce Rogozna Gold Project. The region has become one of the most active exploration provinces in Europe. Across the border in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adriatic Metals sparked an exploration rush into the Western Tethyan Belt with its Vares Silver Project, later acquired by DPM Metals (ASX: DPM) for approximately A$2 billion. Bindi is earning up to an 80% interest in the Ravni Project through its equity investment in the licence-holding entity, Red Creek d.o.o.
