en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 5, Hong Kong's Deson Development disclosed that its wholly-owned subsidiary, ITC STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT LIMITED, has signed a cooperation memorandum with China Unicom Hong Kong to advance comprehensive collaboration in AI computing infrastructure services and related businesses in Hong Kong. The memorandum was signed on June 2 and is valid for 36 months.
The focus of this cooperation is to connect Deson Development's ongoing strategy of "traditional industry assets + AI computing infrastructure" with China Unicom Hong Kong's network, IDC resources, and operational capabilities. Under the cooperation arrangement, China Unicom Hong Kong will provide ITC's subsidiary with IDC resources it owns or has operational rights to in Hong Kong, to meet the computing infrastructure needs of ITC's clients. These resources must comply with client technical specifications and operational requirements, and pricing must be market-competitive. The announcement also disclosed that China Unicom Hong Kong will provide no less than 2 megawatts of IDC room resources within three months, and an additional no less than 4 megawatts within six to nine months. Both parties plan to form a joint team to jointly develop technical and service solutions and conduct technical and commercial communications with clients.
The cooperation also covers joint market development of IDC resources in Hong Kong. For new IDC rooms added by ITC's subsidiary in Hong Kong, China Unicom Hong Kong can serve as a cooperative resource to jointly bring them to market and facilitate the connection of its backbone network to these rooms, providing high-speed dark fiber data center interconnect links.
This memorandum continues Deson Development's recent shift toward AI infrastructure. The announcement noted that the company had previously invested in NScale Global Holdings Limited and signed a memorandum of understanding with Beijing Qiyuan Zhisuan Data Technology Co., Ltd. Following this cooperation with China Unicom Hong Kong, Deson Development can more quickly secure stable local IDC resources in Hong Kong and leverage the operator's network capabilities to enhance the quality of AI computing infrastructure services. For a traditional real estate company, transitioning to AI computing infrastructure is not just about adding a business label but solving the systemic alignment of room resources, power conditions, network access, client acquisition, operational capabilities, and capital investment. As an international communications hub and a key node in the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong holds a unique position in data center interconnection, cross-border enterprise clients, fintech, and cloud service demand, which forms the practical basis for Deson Development's decision to focus cooperation on Hong Kong IDC and AI computing resources.
However, this memorandum remains a preliminary cooperation consensus. The announcement clarifies that, except for clauses on announcements, confidentiality, fees, notices, term, non-binding nature, and applicable law, the remaining clauses serve only as a reference for initial consultations between the parties and do not constitute any responsibility or obligation for either party. The parties have not yet signed a final agreement on specific cooperation projects, and there remains uncertainty regarding the implementation of the cooperation. If a formal agreement is subsequently signed for specific projects, the related transactions may constitute disclosable transactions for Deson Development and require further disclosure under the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing rules. For Deson Development, the key going forward lies not in the cooperation framework itself, but in whether it can convert IDC resources, client orders, network capabilities, and computing service solutions into sustainable revenue, truly supporting its expansion from traditional asset operations to AI infrastructure services.
