en.Wedoany.com Reported - Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: AEIS) has launched the ADH series DC-DC converter, designed for next-generation 800V DC AI data center power architectures, aimed at meeting the transition needs of megawatt-scale rack power supplies.

800V DC-DC Converter

The ADH series converts 800V DC input to 50V DC output, operating at multi-MHz switching frequencies with a peak power efficiency of 98.2%. The converter adopts a standard half-brick package, delivering a peak power of 8 kW and a full-load power of 6 kW, with a peak power density exceeding 2,700 W/in³ and a full-load power density exceeding 2,000 W/in³.

David Richmond, Senior Vice President of High-Volume Products at Advanced Energy, stated that the transition of data centers to 800V DC power architectures requires a new generation of highly optimized power solutions. The company has collaborated with several leading customers to develop and deliver samples of the ADH converter, with plans to expand the product series by increasing power levels and form factors. Advanced Energy is driving a comprehensive portfolio of 800V DC power conversion solutions.

The ADH series is designed with an advanced liquid-cooled baseplate for optimized thermal management. Standard form factors and parallel module capability support power scaling, and include the safety-critical insulation features required for operation at hazardous input voltage levels.

Advanced Energy combines the ADH series with the NDQ series ultra-efficient 50V DC to 12V DC non-isolated bus converter and the newly developed hot-swap control module to provide a complete 800V DC power solution, enabling higher power levels and the greater power density required for megawatt-scale AI server racks.
