en.Wedoany.com Reported - CelcomDigi has launched Malaysia's first industrial B2B real-time use case powered by 5G Standalone (5G-SA)—an advanced smart warehouse—demonstrating how 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and automation technologies can massively enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, and resilience in warehouse and supply chain operations.
By integrating CelcomDigi's 5G-SA network, AI, and autonomous systems, the warehouse has achieved a 30% optimization in space utilization, over 50% improvement in operational efficiency, and 100% inventory accuracy. The integrated ecosystem reduces human intervention in repetitive and potentially hazardous tasks through autonomous systems, AI-driven monitoring, and real-time alerts, creating a safer working environment. Automating labor-intensive processes allows employees to focus on higher-value work, supporting upskilling and helping enterprises build more agile and resilient operations.

The initiative was developed in collaboration with several strategic technology partners, including Move Robotics, Infinium Robotics, Ailytics, Cobra Security Electronics (CSE), and ZTE Corporation. Partners bring complementary expertise such as autonomous robots, drone-based inventory management, AI video analytics, connected fleet management, and digital twin technology to build an integrated ecosystem. The project has also received funding from the Bengkel Inovasi GLC (BIG) program, led by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Cradle Fund, demonstrating the effectiveness of collaboration among government, GLCs, startups, and industry partners in accelerating technology adoption.
The advanced smart warehouse integrates six smart logistics solutions powered by its 5G-SA network, including: a Warehouse Management System (WMS) providing a centralized inventory management platform for real-time visibility and efficient inventory control; an autonomous pallet shuttle system automating pallet storage and retrieval to maximize storage density; 5G-driven Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) enabling high-precision autonomous goods transport; an AI-driven visual monitoring system detecting safety violations and operational events in real time; an AI autonomous drone system automating inventory counting to improve verification speed and accuracy; and a Digital Nebula platform serving as a digital twin solution, offering real-time operational views and data-driven intelligent insights.
This launch builds on CelcomDigi's ongoing efforts to drive logistics innovation in Malaysia, following a 2023 collaboration with DHL Supply Chain to explore 5G smart logistics solutions. As Malaysia's first industrial 5G-SA real-time use case, the warehouse will serve as a living innovation lab for enterprises to experience, evaluate, and develop 5G-AI applications tailored to their own operations. Following the launch, CelcomDigi will host "Logistics Redefined" industry engagement activities for warehousing and logistics companies, offering guided tours and live demonstrations of 5G and AI-enabled warehouse operations.
CelcomDigi CEO Albern Murty stated that as industries accelerate the adoption of AI and automation, advanced connectivity will become a critical foundation for future operations, driving 5G-SA real-world use cases to achieve large-scale, impactful business outcomes. The company's advanced smart warehouse demonstrates the power of combining connectivity, solutions, and commercialization to solve real operational challenges and create value for enterprises. Through strong local partnerships and an innovative ecosystem, CelcomDigi aims to accelerate enterprise digitalization and support Malaysia's digital ambitions.
