en.Wedoany.com Reported - Osmond Resources (ASX:OSM) has now largely completed plant design and product portfolio work, ensuring its Spanish Orión Project scoping study remains on track for completion in the third quarter of 2026. The project is focused on developing critical minerals rich in rutile, zircon, and monazite.

Drilling is progressing, with holes SOR-07 and SOR-08 designed to test the extension of favorable mineralization within the 10-square-kilometer Target Area 1. Drilling results are expected to support the mineral resource estimate underpinning the scoping study and help define the broader development potential of the Orión Project.

The scale and multi-commodity nature of the Orión Project are central to Osmond's EU critical minerals strategy. The project covers 772 mining units within 232 square kilometers in the Jaén province of Andalusia, Spain, where Osmond has delineated a siliciclastic system rich in rutile, zircon, hafnium, and rare earth-bearing minerals. Bulk samples and drilling comparisons from the Avellanar area show TiO2 grades up to 15.16%, ZrO2 up to 5.57%, monazite up to 1.62%, and TREO up to 1.18%, along with elevated hafnium and rare earth oxide readings. This supports Osmond's view that Orión is a potential multi-mineral development project for EU critical minerals, rather than a single-commodity story.

The scoping study remains on track for completion in the third quarter of 2026, with drilling continuing to test the broader potential of the mineralized system in Area 1.
