en.Wedoany.com Reported - Copper Giant Resources has released drilling results from the Mocoa copper-molybdenum project in Putumayo, Colombia. Data from drill holes MD-064 and MD-063 confirm continuous mineralization beneath the current conceptual pit and identify a newly recognized third mineralized breccia zone.

Drill hole MD-064 intersected 1,052 meters of continuous mineralization from a depth of 155 meters, including a 486-meter section grading 0.57% copper equivalent, above the current average resource grade of 0.51% copper equivalent. Within this interval, a 115-meter high-grade section grading 0.65% copper equivalent was identified from 552 meters depth. The final 180 meters of the hole intersected 0.44% copper equivalent, corresponding to the Western Breccia system, including a 72-meter section grading 0.55% copper equivalent.

These results validate the continuity and distribution of high-grade zones within the deposit, increasing geological confidence in the resource model. The hole also confirmed the mineralized zone known as the Western Breccia, establishing a third mineralized corridor at Mocoa. The system now comprises Western, Central, and Eastern corridors, reinforcing the interpretation of a large porphyry system with multiple mineralized centers in the area.

Drill hole MD-063, a directional branch of MD-056, intersected extensive continuous copper-molybdenum mineralization beneath the current conceptual pit. The hole encountered 808 meters of continuous mineralization grading 0.31% copper equivalent from a depth of 541 meters, including a 303-meter section grading 0.41% copper equivalent.

The company noted that these results confirm the system's continuity at depth and to the south, toward the La Estrella target. A third drill rig is currently operating at the La Estrella target, aiming to connect the two areas and assess resource expansion potential.

Currently, the Mocoa project hosts an inferred resource of 1.12 billion tonnes at an average grade of 0.51% copper equivalent, representing 12.7 billion pounds of copper equivalent, including 7.7 billion pounds of copper and 1.0 billion pounds of molybdenum. Copper Giant Resources stated that upcoming project milestones include a resource update, a new round of metallurgical testing, a future preliminary economic assessment, and drilling results from the La Estrella target, which may provide new evidence for expansion of the mineralized system.
