en.Wedoany.com Reported - KT has launched an AI empirical project called "AX Engagement," centered on enabling corporate clients to experience Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) firsthand and verify business feasibility, accelerating its business-to-business (B2B) market expansion. The project aims to go beyond simply supplying AI solutions, providing full-cycle support from task discovery and empirical testing to business transformation.

KT unveiled the AX empirical project at its West office in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. Core support organizations include the KT Innovation Center and AX Squad, the latter responsible for assisting client companies in experiencing AI firsthand and applying it to actual business operations.

KT noted that companies typically invest 50 million to 100 million Korean won and significant time in the AI Proof of Concept (PoC) phase. Based on AI cases across multiple industries, the Innovation Center concretizes tasks to reduce the likelihood of failure and lower the burden of initial verification costs.

Since the Innovation Center opened last October, over 200 companies have visited and discussed the potential for AX application. Among them, more than 30 companies are advancing actual business improvement projects alongside KT's AI experts.

On-site empirical testing is managed by the AX Squad. Approximately five professionals, including Project Managers (PMs), consultants, and developers, operate within a six-week verification framework covering AI agent development, on-site feedback, and Return on Investment (ROI) validation. This structure aims to go beyond technical demonstrations, simultaneously verifying ROI and business feasibility in real business environments.

KT operates the Innovation Center based on a partnership established with Microsoft (MS). A KT official stated that collaboration with MS continues, and the company plans to expand cooperation with other global tech giants at this center in the future. Clients can leverage KT's AI expert team and global partner ecosystem to execute projects tailored to specific task characteristics.

In terms of AI platforms, KT has implemented an architecture independent of specific AI models through its self-developed "KT AX Harness." This platform integrates the planning phase for analyzing requests, the Dispatch for connecting data, and the Quality Assurance (QA) phase for verifying results into a pipeline, enhancing context retention and answer quality in long-running operational environments.

Jeon Seung-rok, Head of KT's AX Strategy Division, stated that while many companies have adopted AI, cases where it generates tangible benefits remain limited. The goal of KT AX Engagement is to create small success stories as quickly as possible and scale them to broader business operations.
