en.Wedoany.com Reported - Emirates SkyCargo is planning to expand its freighter service network in East and Southeast Asia. The airline will increase the frequency and destinations of freighter flights in the region to connect emerging and established manufacturing hubs with demand markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

In the 25/26 fiscal year, SkyCargo transported over 439,000 tonnes of cargo from its 12 markets in East and Southeast Asia through its freighter and passenger aircraft. This cargo tonnage represents an increase of approximately 5% compared to the 24/25 fiscal year, reflecting the rising demand from businesses in the region for fast and secure transportation of goods to other parts of the world.

Badr Abbas, Senior Vice President of SkyCargo, stated that East and Southeast Asia are key global manufacturing regions, making significant contributions to high-tech product production, perishable goods exports, and the origin of global e-commerce flows. By adding additional freighter flights and expanding freighter coverage, SkyCargo provides exporters with fast connectivity, ensuring goods reach end customers globally quickly and safely. The company offers customers choice and flexibility not only through freighter flights to 12 cities in the region but also via passenger flights (from 25 destinations to Dubai) that provide wide-body belly cargo capacity. Currently, customers in East and Southeast Asia have access to over 12,000 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity to transport goods to destinations on SkyCargo's global network.

SkyCargo is doubling its freighter capacity to Tokyo Narita Airport, increasing from one weekly flight to two, to serve Japan's manufacturing sectors, including automotive, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

The airline is increasing flights to Hong Kong, currently operating 37 weekly freighter flights, offering maximum flexibility for customers in this export-oriented economic corridor.

SkyCargo is also expanding its freighter network to central China, with three weekly flights from Zhengzhou, connecting Henan Province's industrial hub with Dubai and beyond.

SkyCargo has resumed freighter flights from Singapore, with one weekly flight via Mumbai to Dubai, forming a trade route across Asia.

The airline will also double its freighter capacity in Taiwan, increasing freighter services to Taipei from one weekly flight to two, to meet the transportation demand for high-tech electronic goods.

SkyCargo reported strong demand for its weekly freighter service to Bangkok, which supports the export of high-tech products, perishable goods, fashion, and other consumer items.

The airline also maintains four weekly freighter flights to Hanoi, providing Vietnam exporters with access to Dubai, the Middle East (a key export market for Vietnamese perishable goods), and other global markets.
