en.Wedoany.com Reported - thyssenkrupp AG has formed a strategic alliance with GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group company, to jointly deploy autonomous robots and physical AI in the heavy industry sector, integrating thyssenkrupp's operational and engineering expertise with Hitachi's end-to-end innovation platform.

The alliance, comprising thyssenkrupp, GlobalLogic, Method (a GlobalLogic company), and Hitachi America R&D, establishes a lab-to-scale physical AI pipeline that integrates foundational R&D, digital design, and enterprise engineering, connecting field data to AI-driven autonomous control systems.

The first workstream focuses on the data intelligence layer and autonomous operations. GlobalLogic will deploy its unified data layer, providing a common data and semantic foundation that connects operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), supporting real-time processing, semantic understanding, and AI decision-making for autonomous robots and drones used in high-risk inspections.

The second workstream aims to accelerate decarbonization by automating the capture and transformation of offline and unstructured technical documents into actionable intelligence. This workstream targets reducing the quote-to-cash cycle and technical engineering cycle for green energy projects.

The alliance plans to eliminate engineering bottlenecks, enhance frontline operational safety, and accelerate the delivery of large-scale decarbonization projects through this collaboration. Executives describe physical AI as a core driver of efficiency gains, servitization shifts, and competitive advantage in the industrial energy transition.
