en.Wedoany.com Reported - ANIQ, the first company accelerated by the PISMO entrepreneurial incubator (Poduzetnički inkubator PISMO powered by A1) supported by A1, has launched the RAGNA project, a €2.54 million research and development initiative. In collaboration with Algebra Bernays University (Sveučilište Algebra Bernays) and Protopixel, the project aims to develop an AI-based Game Design Document (GDD) management platform. The project kickoff meeting and panel discussion were held in Novska.

The RAGNA project is implemented under the IRI S3 framework, which is designed to promote the development of new products and services in research and development activities. Project objectives include enhancing ANIQ's R&D capabilities and developing a platform that leverages artificial intelligence to improve the planning, organization, and management of video games.

At the opening ceremony, Ivana Matanović, Deputy Director of the Regional Coordination Center of Sisak-Moslavina County (Sisačko-moslavačka županija), Professor Leo Mršić, Vice Rector for Scientific Research at Algebra Bernays University, Marko Kovačić from Protopixel, and Dominik Cvetkovski, Director of ANIQ, each elaborated on the project's significance. Cvetkovski presented the development concept, activities, and implementation plan for the next three years.

Dominik Cvetkovski, Director of ANIQ, stated that the current video game development process is complex, requiring simultaneous management of creative, technical, and production requirements. Through the RAGNA project, the company is developing a solution to make the management of game design documents more structured, thereby reducing the administrative burden on teams and allowing them to focus on creativity and production value.

During the conference, a panel discussion addressed the future of AI in the gaming industry and the importance of connecting the economic sector, research institutions, and public bodies in innovative development. Panelists agreed that AI is not a replacement for creativity but a tool to enhance efficiency, accelerate development processes, and improve collaboration quality. They also emphasized that the RAGNA project is significant for the further development of Croatia's gaming industry, enhancing R&D capabilities, and creating new opportunities for professionals and young people. The project represents a developmental breakthrough for ANIQ and confirms that companies starting from incubators are developing innovations with potential for global market application, highlighting the fundamental role of investing in R&D and linking the business community with academia.

The RAGNA project will last 36 months, during which partners will develop and validate a prototype and minimum viable product (MVP) version of the AI platform for dynamically managing game design documents. The project also includes strengthening R&D capabilities through the procurement of specialized equipment, hiring highly qualified experts, and creating conditions for future commercialization. The total project value is €2.54 million, of which €1.69 million is provided by EU non-repayable funds. The project execution period is from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2029.
