en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazil's National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) on the 26th released the list of companies with valid registrations and eligible to participate in the 4th Permanent Production Sharing Tender (OPP4) and the 6th Permanent Concession Tender (OPC6), both scheduled for October 7.

Companies registered to participate in the Permanent Production Sharing Tender include: 3R Petroleum, BP, Chevron, CNOOC, Ecopetrol, Equinor, Galp, Karoon, Kufpec, Petrogal, Petrobras, Petronas, Prio, Qatarenergy, Repsol, Repsol Sinopec, Shell, Sinopec, and TotalEnergies. Of the 19 companies, 15 were registered for OPP at the time of the tender launch, and 4 applied for registration during the process. The newly registered companies are: Galp, Kufpec, Repsol, and Repsol Sinopec.

Currently, the Permanent Production Sharing Tender notice covers 23 available blocks in the Campos and Santos sedimentary basins. By August 6, the ANP will announce which blocks have received declarations of interest from companies, thus appearing in the public session of the 4th Permanent Production Sharing Tender.

For the Permanent Concession Tender, there are 46 companies with valid registrations. The list has been published in the Official Gazette of the Federal Government and on the ANP website. Of the 46 companies, 36 are registered for OPC, 4 companies with suspended registrations have updated their registration documents, and 6 applied for registration during the process. Among the latter, registration for 3 companies is contingent upon submitting documents by July 8 to take effect: Karavan Participações Ltda., Salvador Energy Inc., and Tucano Serviços de Apoio a Óleo e Gás Ltda.

Currently, the Permanent Concession Tender notice covers 38 sectors, including 495 exploration blocks across 11 sedimentary basins and 5 marginal oil and gas accumulation areas. By August 6, the ANP will announce which sectors have received declarations of interest from companies, thus appearing in the public session of the 6th Permanent Concession Tender.

The ANP Board also approved the inclusion of 86 exploration blocks in the study area list, with a view to potentially including them in future rounds of the Permanent Concession Tender. However, these blocks will not appear in the October auction.

These areas are distributed across three sedimentary basins on Brazil's Equatorial Margin: 36 blocks in the Foz do Amazonas basin; 25 in Pará-Maranhão; and 25 in Barreirinhas. According to the agency, these studies are part of a strategic agenda for geological and economic evaluation.

The ANP also approved a readjustment of the SFZA-AP4 sector located in the Foz do Amazonas basin to allow for the inclusion of two blocks previously under study but originally located outside the sector's boundaries.

Before being included in a notice and made available for bidding in future rounds of the Permanent Concession Tender, these blocks must still complete the required steps in the regulatory process. This includes environmental analysis, the issuance of a joint declaration by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA), and the holding of a public hearing.

The locations of the exploration blocks can be consulted via georeferenced files in shapefile format provided by the ANP. The agency emphasizes that these boundaries may be further adjusted based on technical analysis and applicable environmental criteria.
