en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 29, LONGi Green Energy reached a supply arrangement with Greek independent power producer Faria Renewables to provide 81.66 MW of photovoltaic modules for two utility-scale solar projects in central Greece. The modules will be used for the Athamas and Mykonos projects in the Thessaly region, both developed, constructed, and owned by Faria Renewables.

The Athamas solar project, located in Almyros, has a capacity of 45.51 MW, while the Mykonos solar project in Farsala has a capacity of 36.15 MW. Under the arrangement, LONGi Green Energy will supply Hi-MO 9 back-contact modules, with a total of 125,280 modules used across the two ground-mounted solar power plants. The Athamas project commenced construction in November 2025 and is scheduled to connect to the grid by the end of July 2026; the Mykonos project started construction in February 2026 and is expected to achieve grid connection by the end of June 2027.

The Athamas solar project will utilize a combination of fixed-tilt and single-axis tracking systems, and will connect to the transmission network via a privately owned 150 kV substation. Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 80 GWh of electricity annually. The simultaneous advancement of solar module procurement and project construction in Greece will help Faria Renewables expand its local renewable energy asset base.
