en.Wedoany.com Reported - Neo Space Group (NSG) and Saudia have announced the first activation of NSG Skywaves line-fit in-flight connectivity (IFC) service on Saudia's first Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Powered by NSG Skywaves and leveraging the SES Open Orbits multi-orbit network, which integrates GEO and MEO satellite capabilities, the service provides high resilience and low latency connectivity on key international route corridors. NSG released this news on June 29.

Recent operational tests conducted by NSG's engineering and operations teams showed that in-flight internet speeds can reach up to 200 Mbps per aircraft.

The IFC service utilizes the Airbus HBCplus line-fit solution, involving collaboration between NSG, Saudia, Airbus, SES, and Rave Aerospace.

Saudia is the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to operate this Airbus model (A321XLR).

Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Guest Experience Officer at Saudia, stated that connectivity is an indispensable part of modern travel, and providing high-speed internet on the A321XLR is a key element of the new Saudia experience, allowing passengers to stay online, enjoy entertainment, and have a more engaging and seamless journey; it also enables a next-generation connected experience, allowing passengers to enjoy live TV and real-time content like never before.
