en.Wedoany.com Reported - Skyborn Renewables has acquired all shares of the 111 MW Nordergründe offshore wind farm in Germany, obtaining full ownership of the project.

Prior to this transaction, Skyborn held a 30% stake in Nordergründe, with the remaining 70% held by various investors. Located in the German North Sea, the wind farm has been operational since 2017 and consists of 18 turbines, generating renewable electricity sufficient to meet the needs of approximately 90,000 households. The wind farm has been part of Skyborn's portfolio since its early development phase, with the company serving as construction manager and remaining actively involved throughout the operational period.

Through this transaction, as the wind farm enters a new phase requiring enhanced operational focus, Skyborn assumes full operational and management responsibility for Nordergründe. The company plans to internalize more core operational functions to enable more direct management and investment decisions in line with its infrastructure platform strategy, thereby improving flexibility and efficiency.

Patrick Lammers, CEO of Skyborn Renewables, stated that this transaction is fully aligned with the company's strategy to become a leading offshore wind infrastructure platform, which involves developing, constructing, owning, and operating assets over the long term. Full ownership of Nordergründe enables the application of an integrated approach to optimize performance and create long-term value. Following the successful transformation of the Yunlin project in Taiwan and progress on the Gennaker project in Germany, Nordergründe marks the company's next step, demonstrating its ability not only to deliver projects but also to sustainably enhance and operate them over the long term.

In early June, Skyborn signed a long-term integrated service agreement with Wind Multiplikator to support the ongoing operation and maintenance of Nordergründe. The agreement consolidates the project's operations under a single management framework, helping to improve efficiency and support sustained performance. Following recent progress on the Yunlin project in Taiwan and the Gennaker project in Germany, Skyborn views Nordergründe as a key milestone in expanding its capabilities across the full lifecycle of offshore wind projects. Earlier this month, the company signed a 600 MW power purchase agreement with Amazon for electricity from the Gennaker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
