Reddy met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Coal and Mining Minister G. Kishan Reddy, focusing on the disbursement of loans by the Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) for Hyderabad Metro Phase II. He described the consultation with the Railway Minister as constructive, with both sides concentrating on the construction and financial resource mobilization for Phase II. The Chief Minister plans to meet with Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar the following morning to further push for the release of IRFC loans. He outlined the measures already taken by the state government, including preliminary work and financial planning, and stated that the state government is engaging with central departments to ensure timely fund allocation and coordinate project timelines. The discussions aim to ensure continuity for Phase II and address potential administrative hurdles.

Additionally, the Chief Minister separately met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to seek support for the development of the Adilabad airport, which is being constructed by the Indian Air Force (IAF). Reddy expressed gratitude for the transfer of defence land for the Gandhi Sarovar project and emphasized the strategic importance of the airport for regional connectivity and national security. He stated that the state government would provide full cooperation for land acquisition and utility relocation required for the airport's expansion. The Chief Minister requested support for the construction of cargo facilities, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, and hangar infrastructure near the IAF terminal and civil aviation terminal. He listed the airport project as a priority for the state government and sought central support to facilitate large-scale investment and operational readiness. The state government will continue consultations with relevant ministries to expedite approvals and resource mobilization.
