en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 24, track laying on the Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway in China will be completed, and the project will enter the static acceptance and integrated commissioning and testing stages.

The Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway starts at Chongqing West Station, passes through Chongqing Municipality, Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Yunnan Province, and connects to Kunming South Station, with a total length of about 700 kilometers. It is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming corridor of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network and is expected to be ready for operation in 2027. By then, travel time from Kunming to Chongqing will be reduced to about two and a half hours, and from Kunming to Chengdu to less than three hours, forming a rapid passenger transport corridor between the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the Central Yunnan urban agglomeration and driving economic and social development along the route.
