en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 15, Morocco's National Railway Administration announced the final tender results for the station works of the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed rail project. The domestic construction company Jet Contractors was awarded the contract for the construction of five railway stations on the Ben Guerir–Marrakech section, with a contract value of MAD 437.6 million (approximately $44.5 million, excluding tax). The project covers one high-speed railway station and four regional express railway stations, and the construction scope includes station building structures, platforms, access facilities, and supporting electromechanical systems.

The high-speed railway station awarded in this tender is located in Ben Guerir Green City, and the four regional express railway stations are located in Ben Guerir Green City, Sidi Bou Othmane, Sidi Ghanem, and Marrakech Grand Stadium, respectively. The contract incorporates the architectural construction and facility installation of the above five stations into a unified works package, covering station building concrete structures, passenger platforms, auxiliary buildings, in-station passages, public circulation areas, and connection facilities between different functional zones.

Jet Contractors will also undertake station building decoration, installation and testing of power supply and distribution networks, as well as construction of ventilation, water supply and drainage, and other electromechanical facilities. The contract also includes the installation and commissioning of fire alarm, fire detection, fire extinguishing equipment, video surveillance, and security protection systems, with the scope of works extending to the supporting facilities required for the stations to be put into operation.

The initial tender estimate for the works was MAD 385.24 million, and the final awarded amount increased by approximately MAD 52.34 million, 13.6% higher than the original estimate. The project had previously undergone an unsuccessful tender procedure, after which procurement was reorganized, with bids closing on September 24. Morocco's National Railway Administration announced the final award result on October 15.

Jet Contractors had previously been awarded the contract for civil works package six of the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed rail project, undertaking earthworks and engineering structure construction for part of the line toward Marrakech from Ben Guerir. With the newly added contract for the construction of five stations, its contracting scope within the same high-speed rail project has extended from line civil works to station buildings and supporting facilities.

The planned line of the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed rail project is approximately 430 kilometers, and it is part of Morocco's national railway development plan for 2024–2030 with a total investment of MAD 96 billion, of which MAD 53 billion is allocated to the construction of infrastructure and equipment related to the Kenitra–Marrakech line. The high-speed rail project extends the existing Tangier–Casablanca high-speed railway to Marrakech and includes the construction of supporting regional railway passenger facilities.
