en.Wedoany.com Reported - Minrex Resources (ASX:MRR) is advancing multiple workstreams at its flagship Tlamino Gold Project in Serbia to accelerate project development, including infill drilling and metallurgical test work at the Barje deposit.

The company has completed 12 diamond drill holes at Barje, totaling 1,224.5 meters, with the 13th hole currently in progress; the average core recovery rate for completed holes is approximately 88%.

Minrex has dispatched the first batch of core samples to ALS's laboratory in Bor, Serbia, for gold, silver, and multi-element analysis, with results expected within three to four weeks. The first batch comprises approximately 537 samples from the first seven completed holes (BAR033 to BAR039).

Concurrent with drilling, Minrex has appointed Ausenco to design, manage, and interpret the metallurgical test program. Minrex stated that this metallurgical program marks the project's transition from exploration to active development, with a focus on further de-risking the proposed processing pathway. This work will build upon previous metallurgical work completed for the 2021 Preliminary Economic Assessment, rather than starting from scratch.

Company CEO Max Piirto said the company looks forward to reporting drilling results next month, which may help update Barje's resource estimate. By appointing Ausenco, the company has engaged a team that demonstrated proven capabilities on Adriatic Metals' Vareš project, advancing Balkan assets from metallurgical interpretation through pre-feasibility study, definitive feasibility study, and into detailed engineering and procurement phases. Piirto believes that establishing a robust metallurgical foundation early is critical to further de-risking the project and protecting long-term value, and is central to advancing the Tlamino project. This program represents a deliberate investment in the quality and technical effectiveness of subsequent study work.

The scope of work will include representative sample selection, comminution testing, gold recovery optimization, reagent and grind fineness optimization, and determination of concentrate quality and specifications. Results will support future concentrate market studies and early engagement with potential offtake partners.
