en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hancom WITH Inc. has launched Hancom xFWeb, an installation-free web security solution for post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

Deployed at the web application layer, this solution requires minimal modifications to existing customer systems. Built on web standards, users do not need to separately install executable (EXE)-based security software.
Hancom xFWeb adopts an architecture designed based on crypto-agility, allowing organizations to transition securely and efficiently to the PQC framework with minimal changes to legacy systems. This design aims to reduce the risk of system failures associated with outdated infrastructure and lower the costs of replacing existing systems.
The solution's architecture features a layered hybrid PQC model, adding application-layer PQC communication on top of existing Transport Layer Security (TLS) channels. Hancom WITH Inc. stated that this approach enables organizations to prepare for future quantum computing threats without replacing broader infrastructure.
Hancom WITH Inc. added that the solution includes security features against parameter tampering, an issue that gained attention following the leakage of connection information (CI) values related to South Korean streaming platform TVING. The company claims that using data integrity verification technology based on Authenticated Encryption with Associated Data (AEAD), the solution prevents parameter manipulation, web page tampering vulnerabilities, scraping, and bot attacks during data transmission.
Hancom WITH Inc. plans to expand the deployment of Hancom xFWeb, primarily targeting public sector organizations and financial institutions. These entities need to comply with the South Korean government's policy of gradually phasing out installation-based security software and transitioning to next-generation cryptographic systems.
