France FIF and Railenium Railway Innovation Call for Projects: Up to €1.5 Million

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The French Railway Industry Federation (FIF) and the Railenium Technology Institute have jointly launched a call for railway innovation projects, targeting industrial companies in the sector. This initiative is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), with individual project amounts ranging from €150,000 to €1.5 million, and the mechanism is specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-cap companies (PME et ETI). FIF stated on LinkedIn: "Our goal is to make it easier for companies, especially SMEs and mid-cap companies, to access high-level research expertise to develop, test, and accelerate their innovations." Companies can submit ideas, technologies, prototypes, or industrial challenges to be addressed by September 30, 2026, in one of the following four areas: climate and environmental resilience, social and operational adaptability, the contribution of railways to crisis management, economic performance and multimodal transport.

To help companies understand the mechanism and answer questions, FIF and Railenium will host an introductory webinar for the call for projects on July 2, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00.
