en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lenovo announced the expansion of its global security service portfolio, focusing on providing a single point of accountability for managing cyber resilience in response to security risks posed by artificial intelligence. A study cited by Lenovo shows that 90% of IT leaders believe their organizations are ill-equipped to handle AI-driven threats, highlighting the need to strengthen cyber resilience strategies.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence brings new opportunities for businesses but also increases the complexity of cybersecurity risks. Lenovo stated that its new solution integrates devices, protection technologies, managed services, and partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers into a single operating model. According to Lenovo, this approach can reduce system disruptions by up to 50% and lower costs associated with incident remediation by up to 40%.
Despite continued growth in investment in cybersecurity solutions, Lenovo believes many organizations still face issues caused by fragmented accountability across multiple vendors and platforms. This fragmentation hinders coordinated attack responses, complicates risk visibility, and can slow down recovery processes. Rakshit Ghura, Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo's Digital Workplace Solutions, stated that security leaders need greater confidence that employees, devices, and data will be protected, as well as clearly defined accountability in the event of an incident.
As part of this expansion, Lenovo launched Lenovo Absolute Security Services, a fully managed comprehensive resilience solution. This service is designed to maintain the effectiveness of critical security controls in distributed work environments without increasing the operational burden on internal IT departments. The solution features the ability to automatically restore security controls after disruptions or failures, reducing the need for manual intervention. Additionally, it is supported by Lenovo's Global Security Operations Center (SOC), which operates around the clock year-round to monitor threats and coordinate responses.
Lenovo also introduced Lenovo ThinkShield TraceLock, a solution developed in collaboration with Absolute Security, aimed at improving visibility and control over lost, stolen, or offline devices. Unlike many traditional endpoint management and protection tools that rely on network connectivity or an active operating system, TraceLock integrates mobile connectivity to enable location tracking, locking, and remote wiping even when devices are not within the corporate network. This solution is specifically targeted at regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, and government. Lenovo stated that ThinkShield TraceLock will be available on select ThinkPad devices starting July 1.
Lenovo's new strategy is built on a cyber resilience framework covering areas such as identity and access management, data protection, extended detection and response capabilities, risk management, and AI environment security. Relying on a technology ecosystem that includes partners such as Microsoft, Google, Cisco, SentinelOne, Veeam, and Absolute, Lenovo aims to provide coordinated security management through a single point of contact, reducing operational complexity and enabling businesses to focus on their digital transformation initiatives.
